Mumbai: Mumbai on Wednesday reported 330 new Coronavirus cases and five fresh deaths, taking infection calculations to 7,56,772 and the death toll became 16,259, a citizenship official said.
The city has recorded 228 Covid-19 cases and three deaths on Tuesday.
The official said the city was left with 3,386 active Covid-19 cases after 378 patients were dismissed from the hospital in the last 24 hours, taking the number of cases restored to 7.34,590.
He said 34,442 Covid-19 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, which took their cumulative number to 1,15,48,887.
At present, Mumbai has 30 closed buildings, while the city is free from detention zones in the slums and ‘Chawl’ (old row plots) since mid-August, he said.
According to officials, the recovery rate of Coronavirus Mumbai was 97 percent.
The ruling rate of the city case is 1,642 days, while the average growth rate of the case reaches 0.04 percent between October 27 and November 2, he said.
This year, Mumbai reported the highest cases at 11,163 on April 4 and most of the deaths at 90 on May 1.
