Mumbai: A man allegedly threw dead with a concrete beam after a dispute about the sleeping setting on the path in South Mumbai, police said on Wednesday.
The police on Tuesday arrested the defendant Rajesh Thakur (35) for killing a man whose identity had not been stipulated, an official said the incident was revealed when a pedestrian warned the police about a man lying in Khada Parsi Junction in South Mumbai, the official said.
The defendant and the victim both slept on the same path near the intersection, but on Monday night, the duo had an argument that was heated on the setting of sleep, he said.
In anger, the defendant attacked the man with a concrete beam and threw him to death, before escaping from the scene, the official said.
Based on CCTV recordings from the area, the police focused on charges, which have been ordered based on the IPC 302 (murder) section, he said.
