Mumbai: Men are beaten to death in slums; Police Motif Probe.

Mumbai: A 25-year-old man was beaten to death in the slums in Kandivli (West) on Wednesday.
Police said they had identified at least two culpriters, and looked for them.
The victim had a criminal record, and while it was unclear why he was attacked, the police thought the history of his criminal might be a factor.
The victim was in Janta Colony in Laljipada on Wednesday, where he was destroyed to death.
Police Kandivli has formed many teams to track the perpetrators.
“Given the victim’s criminal history, the defendant might have thought he was for thieves.
Or, there was a theory that one of the defendants acquitted him and held a personal grudge against him.
The motive would definitely be clear only after the arrest was made,” said a police officer.
The murder case was registered under the 302 part of the IPC at the Kandivli police station.
