Mumbai: Under special drives, the narcotics control bureau has confiscated different drugs worth almost Rs 6 Crore after intercepting seven people, two of which are desirable in the previous case, said an NCB official on Wednesday.
The confiscated drug weighs more than 6kg, he said.
He said 2,112 kg of Mephedrone, 3.9 kg of Ephedrine and 45 grams of Charas, had a combined market value of Rs 6 Crore, restored under a multi-city drive on Tuesday that was captured.
According to officials, NCB has registered two cases in connection with drug spasms and the arrest carried out after conducting raids in Mumbai, Thane and Pune.
Those who were arrested were identified by NCB as Sahil Hamid Mulla Aji, Ibrahim Ismail Jhangir, Irfan Parmar, Nadeem Shaikh, Rehan Shaikh, Jay Prakash Bhat alias and Vijay Kumar Singh alias aka Rehan alias.
Among them, Parmar, a resident of Gujarat, was involved in supplying Mephedrone to prosperous clients in Morbi Regency in the country, the official said.
Nadeem Shaikh is a key figure in drug trafficking, he said.
Rehan Shaikh is a local seller and consumer Mephedrone and has been involved in drug staff for four to five years, he said.
Jay Bhat and Vijay Singh desired in a case where the Mumbai NCB unit has confiscated 103.8 grams of Mephedrone in July and arrested three people, including a woman, the official said.
