Mumbai: City public vaccination center will only immunize women on Friday starting at 10:30 a.m.
until 6:30 p.m., in a specialized drive planned to bridge the widening gender difference.
The clock has been tweaked to allow more women to enter.
“Women may be overwhelmed at times by the crowd.
We have planned this special drive so they feel comfortable to walk,” said the additional Commissioner of BMC Suresh Kakani.
In Mumbai, 16.6LEkh a fewer doses have been given to women.
The country crossed 7 crore vaccinations on Thursday.
Overall, a 6.5 lakh dose was given, including 90,761 in Mumbai.
