Mumbai: Head of BMC I S Chahal on Wednesday ordered all private hospitals to restore the capacity of their hospital bed with what was during the second wave of Covid -19.

“Because more than 95% of cases were detected from non-slum areas, there was an extraordinary request to find a bed in a personal hospital.

Chahal also said that he had arrived at his notice that Simtomatic Covid patients had begun to complain about the shortcomings of covid beds in private hospitals.
“Therefore all private hospitals with this directed directed that they would immediately tidy up the number of covid beds to the highest level during the second wave peak in 2021.
All private hospitals will restore the top level of their covid bed as early as possible.

The BMC staff will start checking private hospitals from January 11 and so on to check Cross whether the number of covid beds in each private hospital has been restored to its peak level before.

Sujit Chatterjee, CEO of Hiranandani Hospital, said they had added 100 more beds, which increased the amount of 244 to 344 and further pushed it to 371.

In a circle, BMC said 80% of the total bed and 100% ICU beds must be provided for Covid-19 patients, according to the rules in the first and second wave.
