Thane: A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death by an unknown person at Kalyan Train Station in the Thane Maharashtra District on Saturday morning.
After the incident, Kalyan Train Police (GRP) registered a murder case against unknown people with CCTV recording assistance.
GRP said that the victim, who had not been identified, worked as a Ragpicker at the Kalyan train station and its surroundings.
CCTV footage from the train station which captured the incident showed that the defendant had an argument with the deceased at the end of the number 1 platform, towards CST, where people barely gone.
He then stabbed the victim with a knife and escaped from the place.
Valmik Shardul, Senior Police Inspector Kalyan GRP said, “We have registered a case against an unknown person and two teams trying to track the defendant using CCTV footage.” Surprising incident at one of the busiest train stations in the midline.
In the Mumbai division, it has now asked questions for the security system.
