Mumbai: An electric 21-year-old man stung during heavy rain at Kandivalali East, while he tried to move his belongings to a safer location.
Ritesh Jha was taken dead at Ambedkar Babasaheb’s hospital in Kandivali, the doctor told the police.
Jha lives with her family at Bihari Tekdi in the coeis area.
Between Saturday night and early on Sunday, around six to eight feet of water have accumulated in the area.
Thus Jha decided to move his belongings out of the house to a safer and dry location.
Between 2 and 3 in the morning, he moved from home with his belongings, navigating water.
But when he reached Naka Gully, he came into contact with a fully submerged electric box.
He suffered an electric shock and was immediately pulled out of water by his brother and his relatives.
They rushed to Surbhi Hospital where the doctor suggested he had to be transferred to Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital.
But he gave up on burns on the way to the hospital.
The police said that his body was sent for an autopsy and the case of unintentional deaths had been recorded.
