Mumbai: June ends on Wednesday with Daily Covid cases rising in the state and city, while daily deaths (25) in Mumbai are the highest in 21 days.
Death in the state (141) was lower than the previous few days.
A total of 9,771 cases were reported across Maharashtra and 706 in the city, each compared to 8,085 and 556, on Tuesday.
Tally Covid-19 Maharashtra for June rose to 3.14 lakh, taking a total to 60.6 lakh since March 2020.
Although cases have dropped from the peak, they do not decrease further and have stagnably between 8,000 and 10,000 for more than two Sunday.
In Mumbai, the June 16,934 case load dropped to less than a third of Tally May (57,371).
City victims in June were stood at 625, less than half of 1,723 deaths in May.
A BMC official said the daily test level in Mumbai had dropped down on Wednesday even though a slight increase in number.
The number of critical patients in the city fell to 761 for the first time in the second wave.
Also for the first time, more blank ICU beds (52%) from occupied in the city.

Ramesh Bharmal said the daily acceptance had dropped dramatically since April.
“Because we are the main covid hospitals of the city, we still have 200 defaults, but most other hospitals have fewer patients,” he said.
At the state level, Kolhapur continues to trigger Covid graphics – District reported 1,400 cases, almost 15% of the total cases on Wednesday.
Satara and Sangli reported more than 700 cases.
Nearly 40% of the total cases on Wednesday were reported from the Circle of Kolhapur, which included districts such as Kolhapur, Sangli, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri.

Cases in these districts do not allow Covid graphics from the country further,” said an official.
Health Minister Rajesh Tope said with declining cases, people moved away from the vaccination center and had appealed them to vaccinate.
“We must ensure that at least 70% of the population is vaccinated to reduce the severity of the third wave when it comes,” Tope said.
