Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that Mumbai City reported 289 Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the toll as a whole to 7.38,243.
1,157 patients have been dismissed from post-recovery hospitals on Wednesday.
The total number of patients positively recovered and discarded until 7.16,949.
There are 2,900 active cases in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, nine people give up on the deadly virus today.
The death toll has risen to 15,968.
Of the nine patients died, six had co-morbidity.
The recovery rate in Mumbai is 97 percent.

The Civic’s body also stated two fields as ‘active detention zone’.
BMC has sealed 35 buildings in Mumbai to contain the spread of the virus.
