Mumbai: After a surge in Wednesday 624 cases, daily detection in the city fell to 453 on Thursday while the country (2,681) continued to register less than 3,000 cases for the sixth day in a row.
Death also fell for the second on Thursday.
Maharashtra reported 49 deaths, down from 90 on Wednesday, while the city saw five deaths on Thursday, encouraging the death toll to 16,141.
