Mumbai reported 453 new Covid cases in 24 hours

Mumbai: After a surge in Wednesday 624 cases, daily detection in the city fell to 453 on Thursday while the country (2,681) continued to register less than 3,000 cases for the sixth day in a row.
Death also fell for the second on Thursday.
Maharashtra reported 49 deaths, down from 90 on Wednesday, while the city saw five deaths on Thursday, encouraging the death toll to 16,141.
On Wednesday, he reported nine deaths.
Mumbai cumulative case now rose to 7.5 lakh.
The Jumbo Center, which recognizes the majority of Covid patients now, has seen uptick in reception over the past few days.
In the Nesco Jumbo Goregaon facility, for example, reception has soared from 2-3 in a day to 8-10.
Dean Dr.
Neelam Andrade said the number of patients who were hospitalized were around 20-25 until a week ago.
“It has doubled now.
We have some work running too.
The patients have come by thinning oxygen levels,” he said.
Dean added that the center might see more patients because the western edge still reported the case.
Dr.
Rajesh Dere, the Dean of the BKC Covid Hospital, said the increase was not exponential as it is now.
“We record around 3-5 reception and only have one patient in critical care facilities,” he said, adding that people must be tested as soon as they get symptoms.
A senior official said with cases that continued to decline, the state government tended to take a review of the situation and loosen some of the existing restrictions to run the company.
The hotel and restaurant owners have demanded a deadline extension to keep their company open.
At present they are allowed to keep open until 10pm.
“The review is likely this week and decisions can be taken to provide further relaxation,” said a senior official.
