Mumbai Schools Gear to conduct an offline exam

Mumbai: With students who returned to the classroom, several schools were preparing to carry out the first offline test since the educational institution shutdown in March last year.
On Monday when junior schools and colleges opened back, more than 40% of 4.5 lakh students from grade 8 to 12 were present in the city.
Most of the 1.8 lakh students come from class 10.
The school principal said more parents of grade 10 students have given approval for the presence of class 8 and 9.
The day after school is reopened, more parents are willing to give their approval, Principles said.
The school has begun to reduce plans to conduct their first semester exam in offline mode.
In the last academic year (2020-21), all examinations were held online.
“Whether parents and students want offline tests.
We will hold a physical exam from October 21,” said Sajitha Venugopal, Principal, Kosmos, and Junior College, Bhandup.
About 68% of students have agreed to attend physical schools.
“More than 90% of grade 10 students attend physical schools in batches,” Venugopal said.
The seriousness of the students was proven when all had to go to school on Tuesday, the day after a formal reopening that saw them was greeted with flowers and music.
Vidyamandir schools in Deferites will undergo an offline exam from October 16.
“Considering a good response to physical schools, we will hold a pen-and-paper exam,” said Sudhir Desai Principal, who has around 60% of parents approved class learning.
Some schools can hold an offline test after Diwali.
“We will think of offline initial examinations for grade 10 and 12 students in November.
Now let the children enjoy back to school,” said Mahima Raheja, Principal, K Khilnani High Cchool and Junior College, Mahim.
BMC has given permission to non-state boards such as Cambridge, IB, CBSE and Cisce to carry out physical examinations for grade 10 and 12.
Some schools that are reopened tend to be closed in the coming days to conduct an online exam.
