Mumbai: Senior citizens are grateful to return home finally

Mumbai: While the former resident Chawl Curruey Road was relieved to return to their homes in a high increase that developed again after living in a transit camp for 45 years, they remained bitter about delays.
“Mhada deliberately delayed giving us ownership, ” Suryakantan Raut (74) to Ti.
He was 28 years old when he handed over his room ownership in September 1976 at the Kasam Paddy Haji Chawl, and shifted to the Camp Transit Kannamwar Nagar in Vikhroli.
Stayed there with his wife Sugandha (69), two sons and their families.
Raut said he was involved in detailed correspondence with the authorities, in vain.
Sugandha added that even after sending original documents, they were not given their permanent home.
“Camp transit It should be a temporary residence, but waiting for a permanent house it takes a long time, ” said Raut, added that it needed victims in their health and well-being.
“Aamchi Manastithi Bari Nahin (we are not in the right mind),” he said at Marathi.
Raut said he and his wife did not maintain health.
He underwent angioplasty 23 years ago.
“I can’t walk.
I was panting,” he added.
Senior citizens say the years passed by waiting to wait in the transit camp.
“I don’t want to talk about it,” he said bitterly.
But he thanks Judge Gautam Patel and Madhav Jamdar , who passed the order on Friday directing Mhada to hand over ownership at 3 pm on Saturday.
“Pushkal Abhar Maanto.
Tyanni Changla Kam Kela (We are very grateful.
They do work well), “he added.
He also said he would receive a flat key from the plantation officer.
The couple was anxiously staying on the twenty-third floor.” What if something happened? What if the elevator stops? “The Raut asked.
Sugandha said he hoped to get the flats allocated on the tenth or twelfth floor, and not on the twenty-third floor.” 45 years later they gave us a place on the twenty-third floor.
Because of harassment, we accept it.
We want to live the rest of our year peacefully.
We don’t want trouble, “he said.
