Mumbai: The balcony party lifts the spirit of citizens and staff

Mumbai: Mental well-being is as important as the health of the body during locking.
Realizing that residents weighed doubled by office work and housework, certain housing communities designed unique events to relieve the mood on weekends.
Saran Harmony Society in Sector 6 Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, set several fun activities that residents join from their balcony safety.
Deepa Duraisamy from Covid Kesar’s task unit, said people were still happy to remember those days.
“We started by arranging a Singalong event.
Two of us will dock from the podium in the complex, circulate lyrics on WhatsApp, and all families will step into their balcony to sing.
This program is well received so we follow up with Antakshari competition between six buildings of our society , “he said.
Neighboring buildings will hear happy sounds singing in Kesar, and really looking for tips for replicating the show.
For half an hour every night, music is played on the speaker on request.
Cultural Coordinator Ashish Sharma and Amit Parnandiwar compiled the English playlist for young people, and Ghazals for breastfeeding elders or two.
Houstia games are held online.
Saran Harmony also has a Ludo and Sudoku tournament online.
“People look forward to weekends like a picnic,” said Duraisamy.
The community uses the Google form to regulate food ingredients.
Dr.
Neetu Sambhar led the volunteer who cooked food for the family affected by Covid.
At Goregaon, a resident of 500 Flat Lodha Fiorenza Society has come out on their balcony to beat Thaalis and clapped for medical workers on the call of PM Narendra Modi.
“We repeated the in-house staff practice and clapped for them,” said Anupama Easwaran, a member of the Covid Society task force.
Fiorenza accommodates 20-25 staff in the community clubhouse with large fans and mattresses, arranging food in the middle kitchen, and providing vaccination.
Community members, who were initially annoyed when the waiter was checked, continued to pay a full salary.
Some diwali bonuses are also distributed too.
The Ghasitaram family of Sweetmeat makers also lives here, and sourced food supplies for members.
The community witnessed one death and several Covid cases.
The basic needs of affected families are met by neighbors.
