Mumbai: The teacher pays Rs 83,000 for lessons in cyber fraud

Mumbai: A school teacher was deceived by RS 83,000 after he was captivated by a job offer at an educational technology company on August 30.
The 38-year-old teacher from Borivli transferred money to a different bank account to receive calls from portal work and was asked to make a payment to secure work.
The police have searched for details from the bank to track money trail.
The teacher who has uploaded his profile on the work portal gets a recent phone from someone who lures him with a job offer with an online learning platform.
“The teacher previously got a job through the same portal,” an officer said.
During a period of time, he finally paid Rs 83,000, the officer said.
