Mumbai: BMC on Tuesday night framed nights between 11 nights and 5 in the morning and let the restaurant, theater, beach and markets remain open until late at night which will align the city’s life closest to the days before two years after almost two years .
In addition to restaurants and theaters, BMC orders, valid until February 28, also allows amusement parks, swimming pools and water parks to reopen with a capacity of 50%.
Pool has been allowed to the public for the first time since 2020.
On Monday night, the state empowers local bodies in 11 high vaccination districts, including Mumbai, to facilitate Covid Curbs when the case slid.
Commissioner BMC I S Chahal said the level of covid mumbai’s position has dropped to 1.5%.
In early January, the level of participants had touched almost 30%, which was a concern because of which restrictions were applied.
The presence in marriage has increased to 25% of the capacity of open space and banquet space or 200 guests, which is lower.
Restaurants, Theater and Natyagruhas in the city have been allowed to remain open according to normal timings with a capacity of 50%, but they must completely adhere to the appropriate behavior of Covid, BMC said.
The Indian Association of Hotels and Restaurants (Ahar), The Apex Body of the Industry, has welcomed the state government and BMC decision.
Ahar has made industrial representation to the government over operating hours, in addition to finding 50% neglect in the permit space or bar license fee to support the surrounding industry.
“The government has kept its promise to restore timings and we appreciate the decision,” Shivanand Shetty said, said President Ahar.
“At the same time, I want to add that the industry has taken a big blow because of a pandemic-induced locking and we will ask for government support to return to its track.
This will not only help reopen the business, but also attract new investments so as to produce employment opportunities.
“BMC orders also allow local tourist attractions and weekly bazaars to open the time, and 25% of the audience to see competitive sports and other activities, including horse racing.
This 25% capacity must be taken as space for fixed seats or seating arrangements.
The meeting and moving crowd must be avoided, BMC said.
Bandra Corporator Asif Zakaria said there had been regular patrols at Carter Road and Bandra Bandstand Promenade to ensure no crowding.
“It also happens with joggers parks and other high foot points.
But, with almost all who open themselves in the city and the Covid case that holds control, it’s time to overdo it,” he said.
