Mumbai: Those under the age of 18 who are not vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus will be allowed to enter the mall in Mumbai from Sunday.
But all adults will be asked to have two doses of vaccines and a loophole 14 days after that to enter the mall.
But the mall staff can enter the mall even if they only have one dose of their Covid-19 vaccination.
“But all the shops and companies must display the vaccination status of all their employees clearly states that many staff have taken the first dose and when the second dose is due.
Because there is no vaccination for them under 18, we cannot prevent them from going to the mall,” said Commissioner of the city of Iqbal Chahal.
“But for customers, we will be very tight and only allow those who have taken two doses of Covid-19 vaccination to enter the mall.
But for our first dose staff for now it will be enough and as soon as they are due to the second dose, they must be fully Vaccinated.
Vaccination status must be displayed in place.
Because there is no vaccination for them under 18, we cannot let them go into the mall, “Chahal said.
Chahal said that nightclubs and disco would continue to survive.
“All places operating beyond 10 nights will remain closed.
I have made these suggestions to the state government and they will include them,” Chahal said.
The Maharashtra government on Wednesday allows the mall to reopen with a capacity of 50% of August 15 for people who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
The Minister of Health of Rajesh Tope said that people could visit the mall just 14 days after they took their second dose.
The arrangement of shops and restaurants has also been extended for up to 10 nights.
Previously, shops and restaurants were allowed to operate each of only 8pm and 4pm.
The state government will soon come out with detailed standard operating procedures (SOP) for these companies.
Previous Public Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that it would be mandatory for the staff of these companies to be fully vaccinated.
With a high plain case for more than two months, there is pressure on the MVA government to loosen the sidewalk.
Based on the recommendation of the Covid Task Force, CM Uddhav Thackeray has refused to extend the restaurant timing until now.
But once access to local trains is permitted, pressure to open more sectors intensified.
In new relaxation of covid restrictions in the state, shop, salon, gym, spa is also allowed to keep open until 10pm.
However, multiplex and places of worship will remain closed.
Tope said the state has emphasized giving more relaxation to those who are fully vaccinated because they encourage vaccination.
