Mumbai: Mumbai University in Kalina received a series of rough emails last month, threatening to blow up campus if it failed to declare the results of the last year’s last year’s trade.
The sender turned out to be a “trauma” student with the delay in the results.
He was released with a warning and notice after police cyber tracked it.
Emails received between 9 and 10 July before the first information report (FIR) registered with unknown people in the Kurla Complex Complex (BKC) on Friday.
Part of the Indian punishment code to cause public damage and criminal intimidation is called in this case.
Vinod Patil, director of the examination, told Tii this threat was received in July, after all undergraduate results were stated.
“A trading student, we have understood, sending this university message threat from Cyber Cafe,” said a university official.
A university security officer submitted a beneficial case of an email received by the inspection and evaluation director.
“The probe shows that it is a trick sent from an email ID registered with false details,” said a BKC police officer.
Manjunath Singe, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone VIII), said a case initially signed up against unknown people for sending tricks.
“It is a student who has created a fake email ID to send tricks,” said Singe.
“Pandemics have made people traumatized and leave a lot of unemployed.
These people have begun to make a call for deception because of their frustration,” Single added.
