Mumbai: Unknown callers threaten to blow up the US consulate

Mumbai: Mumbai police received a call from an unknown caller who threatened to blow up the US consulate in the city Tuesday night.
The call seems made from a cellphone to the land land consulate.
Immediately after the call, the police entered Tizzy and the security around the consulate was upgraded last night.
All areas launched and checks are carried out in the presence of senior authorities.
The bomb disposal team and dog squad are also deployed, considering the situation gravity.
However, no one was found in the area after a preliminary investigation.
An official from Mumbai police informed that the first information report (FIR) had been registered against the caller.
“This might be a call of deception.
Further investigation to identify and track callers is ongoing,” the official said.
The consulate, who was previously in Churchgate, was shifted to the Kurla bandra complex in 2011.
