Mumbai: The day after the city registered Zero Covid-19 death for the first time in more than 18 months, the weekly case showed a decline after rising for six consecutive weeks.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra reported the number of cases of one day low in 17 months.
However, the Daily Covid chart showed four deaths and 371 cases in Mumbai on Monday.
For the second time in three days, Caseload the country was at a 17-month low at 1,485, and reported 27 deaths.
In Mumbai, a weekly cooperative was 2,903 on September 20-26, but rose to 3,224 at 4-10 Sunday October.
Cases in Mumbai have dropped to 195 (August 16), when local train restrictions subsided, but began to rise 15 days later.
On October 11-17, the number of cases fell to 2,842.
Some doctors felt a decline of 11-17 weeks to coincide with the Navratri festival when people were reluctant to be tested, but the commissioner of the additional city of BMC Suresh Kakani said reflecting a decrease in the rate of infection as a whole throughout the state.
“Inpatient levels go down across the city.
Most patients are stable enough to be treated at home.
Our jumbo facilities, which will be filled with capacity during the peak months, hardly have 5% occupancy to 10% now,” Kakani said.
The only blip in the graph is a slight increase in the number of critical patients.
Of the 308 critical patients between October 4-10, this 336 a week later.
However, BMC officials said critical patients were not near 10 times that number in the April-May period.
With a drop in testing because of the weekend, Maharashtra reported 1,485 cases, Tally Covid was 17 months low on Monday, the lowest since 12 May 2020 when 1,026 cases were recorded.
However, the test carried out by the state also fell under one lakh for the first time since March 15 this year.
Maharashtra did 95,890 in the last 24 hours, which was much lower than the average of 1.3 lakh conditions carried out during business days.
Officials said a long-festive weekend had caused a decrease in testing.
