Mumbai: Following the orders of the Bombay High Court two months ago, the Maharashtra government on November 16 approved a special compensation once more than RS 26 lakh to the heir of the three manual scavengers who died while down to the contaminated sewer in Govandi in December 2019.
HC has been on September 17 directed the district collector to pay the compensation of Rs 10 Lakh each in four weeks after with respect to the “eye opening”.
