Mumbai: With the number of closed buildings in Mumbai increased over the past few days due to the increase in Covid cases, the Head of BMC was Chahal had instructed that the process was carried out strictly in all structures with five or more.

Over the past few days, at least seven buildings were sealed in the western outskirts including several in Kandivalali and two in Pali Hill in Bandra; Each building reports more than five cases.

Meanwhile, two housing buildings in Mira-Bhayander were also sealed after two families were tested positive on Sundays.
Giriraj Building in Bhayander was sealed after five family members were tested positively.
Six family members at the Paradise Rashmi building in Mira Road were also tested positively.
Civil officials said the two buildings had been sealed and patients were in the quarantine of the house.
The total positive case in this region is 52,511 with 161 active.
Ten deaths reported this month, with toll touch 1.360.
Mira Road is a Covid hotspot from this region.
