Mumbai: within 5 days, no. from building closed to 8

Mumbai: With the number of closed buildings in Mumbai increased over the past few days due to the increase in Covid cases, the Head of BMC was Chahal had instructed that the process was carried out strictly in all structures with five or more.

BMC also plans to clean up the public toilet five times a day as it is done during the peak of the first and second wave.

As reported by TOI on Monday, Chahal once again directed Ward officials to ensure awareness about the need to wear masks, maintain social distance and often wash hands.
The action will begin immediately against those who do not wear face masks.
Meanwhile, two housing buildings in Mira-Bhayander were also sealed after two families were tested positive on Sundays.
Giriraj Building in Bhayander was sealed after five family members were tested positively.
Six family members at the Paradise Rashmi building in Mira Road were also tested positively.
Civil officials said the two buildings had been sealed and patients were in the quarantine of the house.
The total positive case in this region is 52,511 with 161 active.
Ten deaths reported this month, with toll touch 1.360.
Mira Road is a Covid hotspot from this region.
