Speaking to Toi, Faruqui said that he and his team decided to cancel the show when they expected a big meeting.
“If the show with around 500 people, we will go ahead.
But, we have sold around 1,500 tickets.

There are some who now take credit for show cancellations, but, we are only canceled because of Covid-19,” he clarifies.
He said that it was too early to say when he would do a show in Hyderabad.
“I don’t have an open weekend in January and we don’t want to start planning a show in February at this stage because it is difficult to predict the Covid-19 situation,” Comdiean added.
While the Faruqui show has been scheduled for January 9, the Telangana Government has announced a ban on demonstrations, public meetings, and mass meetings of all types, including religious, political and cultural events from January 1 to January 10.
The Faruqui show has been announced in this city following the Minister of KT Rama Rao threw his support for the comedians after his show was canceled in several cities, including Bengaluru, following the threat to the right-wing group.
As soon as the program was announced in the city, BJP leaders threatened to start.
Police Hyderabad and Cyberabad, meanwhile, claim that the operator of the show has not approached them for permission for now and that they do not have a role in the cancellation of the show.
