Vadodara: A under-trial captive escaped from police custody Monday afternoon if he had been under treatment in the hospital at Karelibaug. Accused Jayanti Nayak was recaptured from the cops on Tuesday afternoon in Halol Road if he had been on his way into his home city in Panchmahal district.This would be the next episode of accused fleeing from police custody in one day. On Monday afternoon, a bootlegger below police exemption returned out of a Covid center in Padra taluka.According into the authorities, Nayak was an accused in a murder case which has been lodged in a sub-jail at Godhra taluka of Panchmahal district. He had been attracted to the hospital in town on May 24 to be stored under observation according to the orders. A group of cops out of Panchmahal was keeping a watch him.On Monday day, Nayak told the cops he wished to visit the bath and the guards started his handcuffs. When they started it, then he pushed them fled the place. Startled, cops followed closely however, the accused vanished from the sprawling psychological hospital campus. The walls of this hospital have been eight to ten feet , but Nayak was able to scale it and also flee.An offence had been enrolled at Karelibaug police station and different teams were made to monitor Nayak. He was seen walking around the Halol Road.
