PATNA: A mob attacked at least four police staff during and also freed a murder accused by their custody detained following a raid in village Lodipur beneath Punpun police station region of Masaurhi in southern Patna during Thursday morning.
The police group was profoundly pelted with rock and then attacked with wooden rods where they received several injuries such as in the minds.

On Monday evening, a raiding team composed of the ASI and two constables were attacked while they were coming after running a raid for liquor smuggling in Tarwa musahari beneath Parsa Bazaar police station area of Patna.
A gun was looted from among those constables that was afterwards recovered.
These suffered severe injuries in limbs, ribs in the attack.
Meanwhile, the Punpun police station SHO Kundan Kumar Singh reported that nine men are detained from the village until day because of their alleged participation in assaulting and thrashing the authorities group.
“Raid are moving and also the arrest figure increases.
At least 35-40 villagers were included in the attack,” he explained.
Singh stated that helper sub-inspector Dhramendra Kumar Ram, three constables specifically Rohit Kumar, Bharat Kumar and Bablu Kumar and a motorist had conducted a raid in village Lodipur to detain one Ramanand Manjhi.
“Manjhi is accused of murdering one Chote Ram in Lodipur about October 8 final year.
Ram was also native of neighboring Ekauna village.
FIR was lodged against unidentified men and Manjhi’s name cropped up following investigation.
He had been evading arrest.
Court had issued a proclamation note ,” Singh explained.
The SHO said that authorities received information which he was seen in Lodipur and The ASI with drive conducted a raid in the village and detained him.
“If they had been going to come back, villagers at Manjhi’s support assaulted the police group.
They had been pelted with bricks, stones and thrashed with wooden rods.
Rohit received maximum harm as he had been attacked after being besieged by many,” he explained including that the ASI and three constables have received head injuries also.
He explained that accused Manjhi was able to flee and is still currently evading arrest.
The SHO said that extra police personnel are deployed from the village for preserving law and order.
He stated raids are moving on to detain Majhi too.
