CUDDALORE: The Head of Judiastia Judge Naddalore N Prabar Judge on Wednesday gave the custody of one day from the Cuddalore DMK MP Trv Ramesh to CB-CID to interrogate him in the case submitted to Him on charges of the murder of a worker in Panruti in the Cuddalore area.
When Ramesh was produced before the judge on Wednesday after he was returned in judicial custody on Monday for two days, the Investigation Agency begged the judge to give MP’s two-day custody to interrogate him in connection with murder.
However, the judge gave the custody of one day (up to 1.15 PM on Thursday) from MP to the Investigation Agency.
The judge directed the agency produced it on Thursday when he was taken to his prisoner and did not postpone to torture.
The judge also allowed MP advocates to visit him during his detention after obtaining the appropriate permission.
Ramesh, who was ordered on charges of murder with five others, surrendered before the judge on Monday morning.
Sleuth Cb-cid on Saturday captured the other five, identified as a personal assistant to MP Natarajan, Mete M Kandavel factory manager, M Allah Pitchai, K Vinoth and Sundararajan.
In a statement issued before submitting, MP stated that he was sacred to note that several political parties had launched false propaganda against the DMK party after the death of a worker in the cashew nut unit.
He said he did not want to make room for people to oppose false charges against good governance from his leader (DMK of the President and Minister of Militation M K Stalin) and decided to give up in court.
MP said he would face accusations with a level against him legally and would prove that he was innocent by providing sufficient evidence.
Govindarasu from Melmampartu in Panruti, who worked for the past seven years at Maches Trv Gayathiri owned by MP, did not return home after work on September 19.
His son Senthilvel filed a complaint to the Kadampuliyur police.
Senthilvel said the personal assistant of parliament members called him from his father’s cellphone at 20.25 in the morning on September 20 and said his father had consumed poison in the unit and was taken to the Panruti Government General Hospital where the doctor said he died.
Senthilvel said there was an injury in the left eye, face, neck and some parts of his father and blood stains on clothing.
Kadampuliyur police registered a suspicious death case and began an investigation.
Meanwhile, the PMK legal unit moved Madras High Court to find the CBI probe and demanded that MP and his colleagues be ordered for murder.
This case was transferred to CB-CID on September 27.
Agency, after conducting an initial investigation, posted MP and the other five under the IPC 302 section (punishment for murder), 201 (causing loss of evidence of violations, or giving false information to serve the perpetrators), 341 (penalty for wrong restraints), 147 ( Punishment for riots), 149 (every member of the Assembly who violated the law guilty of committing a violation carried out in the prosecution of general objects) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy punishment).
