New Delhi: A 28-year-old woman who has run since killing her husband 10 years ago was finally arrested at Alwar Rajasthan, police said on Monday.
I was identified as Shakuntala, he had killed his 22-year-old husband Ravi Kumar in 2011 with the help of Kamal Singla, they said.
According to the police, Shakuntala established a relationship with Singla but married Kumar against his wishes.
He has lived with Singla since then, and the couple married each other in 2017, the police said.
They said Singla was arrested by Crime Branch in 2019 and was submitted at Alwar prison.
The driver, Ganesh, was also captured in this case, but Shakuntala managed to avoid the authorities, police said, adding that Rs 50,000 gift was stated in his arrest.
During the interrogation, Shakuntala told the police that he hatched the conspiracy to kill her husband because he was forced into the marriage, said a senior officer.
Alok Kumar, Commissioner with the police (Crime Branch), said a team was based on tracking it after being studied that he lived somewhere in Alwar.
“The team spent almost two weeks in Alwar and finally managed to track and arrest it on Saturday,” he added.
