Varanasi: Two criminals, which killed cash security guards in the Singramau region Jaunpur on Monday afternoon, were removed at the meeting with the police since the beginning on Tuesday.
Jaunpur SP Ajay Sahani said the police managed to find a duo on Singramau.
Both of them have suffered a pellet injury and after seeking care somewhere they hid in this area, Sahani said adding when the police surrounded them, the criminals fired indiscriminately on the police team who had a bullet injury.
In retaliation police both suffered bullet wounds and were rushed to the district hospital, where the doctor said they were taken dead, he said.
The criminals were identified as Abhishek Gautam and Nitin Maurya.
Sahani said, “This duo has a long criminal history and they remain involved in many cases of booty.
The .9mm pistol, revolver made by the country, several live cartridges, motorbikes and cellphones looted from the welcome they recovered”.
