Tikamgarh: Madhya Pradesh Police on Monday arrested a desired defendant in connection with the murder of the wife of former Union Minister P Rangarajan Kumaramangalam, said an official.
The police also recovered several robed ornaments and other items worth RS 33 Lakh from the defendant, he said.

Kitty Kumaramangalam, 67, watered to death during a robbery effort at his home in the area of Vihar Delhi Southwest on the night of July 6, the police said earlier.
“Two were accused of being arrested by police Delhi earlier during a investigation into this case.
One of the accused of escaping, identified as Suraj Kumar, 36, was arrested from his in-laws’ house in Baldevpura Village on Monday,” the police station collectured Trivendra Trivedra.
The police also recovered 522 GM gold jewelry, 300 GM of silver ornmanents, in addition to diamond jewelry and other items, estimated to be worth RS 33 Lakh, from the defendant, he said.
After the arrest, the defendant was handed over to Delhi police, the official said.
Kitty Kumaramangalam, a lawyer, has lived alone in Delhi since the death of her husband a few years ago.
P Rangarajan Kumaramangalam served as Minister of Union in the Government Atal Bihari Vajpayee between 1998 and 2001.
His son was also active in politics.
