Coimbatore: The day after a man Dalit, who was attacked by a gang at his home in Ponnkananni in the tulur, died at Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Thursday, several Dalit clothes held a protest sitting in front of the hospital in front of the Moruary Hospital on Friday .
The victim, M Kesavan, 47, from Vinayagar Kovil Street in Ponnkananni, a worker, was on his way home from work on his motorcycle on Monday, when he knocked down Mayilsamy, who was in a moped.
Kesavan left the place in a hurry.
Mayilsamy and his relatives break into Kesavan’s house at night and attack him with wood.
They also use Casteist slur against Kesavan.
Kesavan, who suffered a serious injury, was treated on CMC on Monday.
Meanwhile, Selvakumar Kesavan’s son went to Mayilsamy’s house and attacked two people there.
Based on the complaint of the wife of Lakshmi’s wife, Sulthanpet’s police ordered 14 people because they tried to kill Kesavan.
They were ordered under the scheduled castles and scheduled tribes (prevention of atrocities) Act, 1989.
The police also registered efforts to kill cases against Kesavan and Selvakumar.
Kesavan died at CMC around 90:40 on Thursday.
The police arrested seven people and released them in court custody and changed efforts to kill murder cases on Friday.
