Patna: The police suspected the role of the former council members and his two sons in the murder of the former Mayor of Katathar Shivraj Paswan, who was shot dead near Santoshi Chowk under the area of the City Police Station on Thursday.
Kathar was aware of SDPO, broke Jha on Saturday told the Toi that the police suspected former members of the Environmental Council guided Srivastava and his two sons Guddu and Sunny Srivastava hatched a conspiracy to kill Paswan and Sunny’s singing again.
“Get used to win from Ward number 16 Kota Katihar before Paswan, who was elected for two consecutive terms,” he said.
“They avoided arrests.
They were also among the 12 defendants mentioned in the murder case,” he said.
SDO said Manha Srivastava (28), who was arrested with his mother Kumkum Devi (55) the next day of the murder, was a cousin of Guddu and Sunny.
Jha said the former mayor often visited Manaha’s house.
Guddu and Sunny knew about it.
“Paswan was shot dead as soon as he parked his bicycle in front of the Sweetha’s residence.
The police suspected the role of Manha in conveying information to Guddu and Sunny about the visit of Paswan to his house that night,” he said.
SDPO said technical investigations, included call details and analysis of four cellphones, including each Manha and his mother, would reveal the truth.
In return for query, he said eight people still avoided arrest.
“The police will soon move to the court to pray for the arrest warrant to them so that the further process of the attachment of their property can be taken afterwards to force them to give up,” he said.
Jha said intensive raids will accuse being accused and tracking shooters.
