New Delhi: Vidarbha surprisingly Maharashtra with seven goals in the first pre-quarter-finals of the Trophy Syed Mushtaq Ali on Tuesday to enter the last eight stages of the National T20 championship.
Choosing the field at Feroz Shah Kotla, Vidarbha limits Maharashtra to 157/8 despite Grisk 45-Ball 66 by One-Down Rahul Tripathi.
Then they rose in half a century by the opening of Atharva Taide (56 off 38 balls) and capsipling Akshay Wadkar (58 did not come out of 47 balls) to pursue the target with 13 spare balls.
Maharashtra lost Skipper Naushad Shaikh (0), who was stuck in front of goal by Young Right-Arm Pacer Yash Thakur (3/17), in the second.
Then Tripathi, which hit five limits and three six, gathered inning with the opening Yash Nahar (29), because both of them added 64 Run to the second goal.

But Taide, who hammered six limits and maximally, along with Skipper Wadkar, knocked Maharashtra out of the tournament with their 95-run stand for the second goal.

Vidarbha, who advanced from a group of dishes, will take Rajasthan in the third quarter-finals in the land of Palam on November 18.
Meanwhile, Karnataka beat Saurashtra with two numbers in a thriller.
Choosing for the first bat, Saurashtra is limited to 145/7 with Sheldon Jackson scoring 50 in just 43 balls.
Arpit Vasavada (26) and Prerak Mankad (23) also peeled off with useful contributions.
