Music Dir Saroj Patnaik Dead

Bhubaneswar: Odia Music Director and Layis Saroj Patnaik died at his residence in Bari on the District Mayurbukkanj on Thursday.
He was 81 years old.

Saroj is a popular lyrician in the 70s.
He was interested in music when he was in class VI.
After listening to the Bengali Harmonium player near his house, he developed music interest.
Patnaik songs, an engineer by the profession, are popular on all Indian radio (air) towards the late 50s.
He was recognized as a lyrician and air accredited music director.
This helped him to enter the Odiah film industry.
He is the music director of several of the best 70s Odia films.
