Muslim women, Congress workers collide in Thane

Kalyan: Clashes broke out between several Muslim women and Congress workers during protests called by female congressional workers on a row of hijabs in Thane’s Kalyan on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the afternoon when the congressional women’s wings led by President Kalyan Kanchan Kanchi organized protests against the Government of Karnataka and the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) on a row of hijabs.
During protests, several Muslim women in Hijab were near the location of protests and blamed Congress workers for politics on this issue.
An argument broke out between several women and protesters.
The atmosphere became tense because two groups suddenly began to argue.
Women in protesters targeted by the headscarf said wearing a headscarf was our fundamental rights and that Congress only did politics.
Because of the many women gather, there are congestion in the area.
Meanwhile, seeing disputes, the police issued a Muslim woman from the place.
Female Congress President Kanchan Kukarni has accused some women deliberately sent to disturb agitation.
Kulkarni said that he did not have a clue from where these women came and he claimed that he would make the same police complaint.
