Muzaffarnagar: District administration on Friday slapped the fine of RS 2 Lakh to a 38-year-old man for inciting violence in Sikheda village two weeks ago.
Police Supervisor Abhishek Yadav said the defendant, Majid, along with the other 56 was ordered under the 122B CRPC section (prison by default security).
He consped an attack on fellow villagers for some old hostilities and the last one filed a complaint against him.
To disrupt peace and harmony, he slapped the notification below Section 107 \ 116 (Magistrate Order against anyone who tended to commit peace violations) CRPC and actions were taken against him under 122b CRPC, said Yadav.
It was lowned that the Muzaffarnagar police had requested local administration to force a penalty at a number of people after removing their notifications under the Section 107/116 CRPC.
Furthermore, more than three dozen were accused of being fined Rs 2-5 lakh.
Yadav said, “With the poll in the corner, we have increased the vigil to anti-social elements.
We have also urged the government to punish those who try to incite violence.” Police sources said during the election, hundreds of criminals were identified and given notice, but Never fined.
This is the second time Muzaffarnagar police punishes offenders.
