Patna: At least three criminals and two policemen were injured at a meeting between them near Sahmalwa in Phulwaria under the Baruraj police station in Muzaffarpur district on Sunday.
The meeting occurred after a criminal attempt failed to carry out a robbery at the fuel station.
The injured criminals were treated at Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital.
Apart from the three injured criminals, the police arrested five more criminals.
However, two criminals managed to escape.
Muzaffarpur SSP Jayant Kant said at least 20 rounds of fire was exchanged between police and criminals.
“The situation in the area is under control now,” Kant added.
The police confiscated five pistols, four-wheeled and motorbikes from the place.
‘Munsi’ was shot dead: Criminals shot dead Munsi lawyers under the Beur police station area on Saturday night.
The victim was identified as Umesh Kumar Singh, a resident of Arwal Regency who lived in rented accommodation in Beur.
According to the police, Munsi was called outside his home and shot dead by criminals.
The young man was arrested: One Prince Kumar, 21, was arrested after the video brandished a gun while singing the song appearing on social media on Saturday.
He was a citizen of Digotipan in the area of Mithapur under the Jakkankapur police station area.
The police confiscated his compatriot gun, a live cartridge and cellphone from his ownership, said Ssp Manavjeet Singh Dhillon.
3 held: Three people were arrested on Sunday for demanding RS50.5 Lakh as extortion money from two entrepreneurs in Patna.
The accusations arrested were identified as Abhishek Kumar aka Golu Kumar (22) from Budhnichak, Sujit Kumar (21) from Laheria Pokhar and Kumar Rutendra alias Gerelal (22) from Pandarak.
They were arrested in the complaint submitted by Raju Kumar from Barr and Kailash Kumar from Sakohra.
Putra Raju Anshu Kumar has received a call of extortion for RS5 Lakh.
Kailash filed a complaint that several criminals demanded RS50 Lakh from him.
