‘MVA is responsible for the slow rate of development in Nagpur’

Written by news2in

Nagpur: Two days after Congress City President and Mla Vikas Thakre specifically targeted BJP leaders including the Minister of Transportation of Nitin Gadkari and former CM Devendra Fadnivis for “failure of various projects” and “massive corruption”, the ruling party leader in NMC and Senior BJP Corporator Avinash Thakre blamed Maha Vikas Aghadi (where the Congress was a constituent) because he stalled it to work in Nagpur.
Overcoming a press conference on Thursday, Thakre claimed that in 2014 the rate of city development has increased significantly when the Fadnivis government has power in Maharashtra.
However, with the change in guards in Maharashtra in 2019, the MVA government began playing dirty politics, he accused.
“The State Government has started a misuse by summarizing a city commissioner who has stopped development work in the city,” he said “even though the civil heads were then transferred, the new Commissioner cut funds for city development and only provided RS55 Crore to increase citizenship infrastructure in the city,” he said .
The dirty politics of the Congress did not stop here and the MVA government had stopped the RS25 Crore special grant for the capital of the two countries started by the previous government, Thakre showed.
It goes further by holding back the works of the funds approved by Fadnivis, saying that Thakre puts Nagpuria with discomfort due to jammed projects.
“On the one hand the City Congress leaders pressed the administration to stop the development work in Nagpur and on the other hand, they made false accusations about NMC’s failure,” he was defendant.
Even during the Covid crisis, NMC did not receive financial assistance from the state government, he claimed.
Because the NMC poll approached, Congress tried to captivate residents by issuing misleading statements, he showed.
“Congress will once again face defeat in the NMC and BJP polls will invade the strength for the fourth consecutive period of time,” he said.
