Query: My daughter needs a lot of time to open.
And even when he was open, he always tried to please people.
Even in his group of friends, he always agreed with what other people said even if he didn’t feel like that.
How can I help him be his own person?

Rachna K Singh: It is understandable that as your parents want your daughter to grow into someone with his own thoughts, who can assess the situation and make the outer choice without outside influence.
However, children pass through the phase where they find themselves closer to their peers and peers than their parents.
They also believe their friends to better understand them and therefore trust their decisions and choices.
In other cases, children feel depressed to receive and go with the choice of their friends to fit.
Although this is unusual, it is important to make sure your daughter can speak for itself, and this can only happen when you talk to him, not as a parent but as a friend.
Make it understand that he as an individual is unique, assessed and loved and that the choice will make it more confident in pursuing what he wants, even if it opposes the wishes of his friends.
People often tend to care about the happiness of others for themselves, when they don’t feel confident in themselves.
While trust comes with time, make sure you take care of your daughter in a way that helps her shine and feel stronger.
This could happen by helping him pursue a hobby and the task he liked.
People often tend to be most confident when they enjoy what they do and are good at it.
While we understand that it is not easy to always understand your child, especially when you feel it doesn’t open yourself, someone must remember that children often need their time and space to trust their parents.
So make sure you are there for him when he needs you but it doesn’t affect yourself too in his life.
