Myanmar said it was committed to ASEAN peace plans

Myanmar’s military ruler promised on Sunday to work together “as much as possible” with the peace plan agreed upon with ASEAN, despite regional block stern warnings to exclude the top of the country’s top commander from the summit this week.
In the announcement in the Media State on Sunday, Junta said it enforced the head of peaceful coexistence with other countries and would work with the Association of Southeast Asian (ASEAN) in following the “consensus” of five points agreed in April, a plan Supported by the West and China.
The ASEAN Foreign Minister decided on October 15 for Sideline Min Aung Hlaing, Myanmar coup leader February 1, because of his failure to implement the plan, which included the hostility ended, starting a dialogue, enabling humanitarian support in it.
Junta was late on Friday, accusing ASEAN departing from the principal at consensus and non-interference.
It refused to agree to send a politically neutral Myanmar representative, not Min Aung Hlaing.
The ASEAN Brunei seat did not respond to Myanmar’s refusal.
A spokesman for the Thai Foreign Ministry refused to comment on Saturday, citing the sensitivity of this problem, while a spokesman for the Indonesian Foreign Ministry, Teuku Faizasyah, said the ASEAN consensus on who would represent Myanmar at the top was “General Guide to all ASEAN members”.
The exception is a unprecedented snub of the old block criticized because it is late and is not effective in dealing with the government members accused of cruelty.
More than 1,000 civilians have been killed in post-coup cracks in Myanmar, with thousands more detained, many of which are tortured or beaten, according to the United Nations, quoting activists.
Junta was accused of using excessive military force to the civilian population.
The junta insisted that many of them killed or detained were “terrorists” were determined to mess up the country.
Head of Junta last week said opposition forces extended the riots.
ASEAN’s special envoy, Erywan Yusof from Brunei, has been looking for a meeting with the leader who was overthrown with Aung San Suu Kyi, but the military government said it was impossible because he was detained and charged with a crime.
Junta warns Erywan not to be involved with the power of opposition that has been banned, including the government of the National Shadow Unity, the Alliance of Ethnic Pro-Democracy and Ethnic Armed Groups, said Japanese broadcasters, quoted unpublished reports.
A Myanmar military spokesman and Erywan office did not immediately respond to a separate request for comments on Sundays on the warning reported.
In Sunday’s announcement, the Myanmar ruler first confirmed the plan of their five points to restore democracy, which they announced after the coup.
The military confirmed it was a legitimate authority in Myanmar and the takeover was not a coup, but the intervention needed and legitimate to the threat of the sovereignty was caused by the Suu Kyi Party, which he said won the selection of fraud last year.
