Myanmar water strikes are reported in battle, internet cutting in more areas

Myanmar’s military launched an air strike on weekends after clashes with fighters against the junta in the Sagaing area, according to media and militia members, because telephone and internet channels were also cut off in several districts.
Southeast Asian countries have been scattered since the army seized power on February 1, ending a decade of tentative steps towards democracy and the trigger for anger in and abroad and established community defense forces (PDF) to take the military.
The DVB news portal reported an air strike occurred when the army carried out an attack in the Pinlebu Sagaing area in the northwest Myanmar, quoted a resident who heard airplanes and explosions on Saturday night and the internet dropped.
A PINLEBU PDF member, speaking from outside the area, was also confirmed by telephone that air strikes had occurred, but said there were no casualties among the groups.
“We cannot contact them because the internet and the blackout telephone line,” activists, who refused to be identified, said about his colleagues.
Reuters could not independently verify one of the claims and military spokesmen did not answer the call looking for comments.
The National Unity Government (NUG), shadow administration was founded by controlled parliamentarians and others opposed Junta, said the cache of weapons including rocket driven by grenades, small arms and shellfish had been confiscated in battle.
It was said that more than 25 government soldiers had been killed.
There was an increase in bloodshed in areas such as sagaing after underground nug declared a rebellion on September 7 and asked PDF to target his junta and assets.
Previously in conflict, the military sometimes closed the internet, especially in cities, in an effort to curb demonstrations.
Since Thursday, the military has cut internet access in 11 districts that hit conflict in the state of Chin and in the Magway area, Myanmar now provides a news portal, quotes residents and PDF members.
Last week, thousands of people fled from the city of Thantlang at Chin Stat, bordering India, after fighting where a Christian priest was killed.
Some militia groups also claimed the responsibility to blow up a number of telecommunications towers run by Mytel, a soldier-controlled company.
The US-based Watchdog Watchdod democracy said in a report published last week that Internet Freedom slumped 14 points in Myanmar – the greatest annual decline ever recorded on a scale of 100 points – after the coup.
