New Delhi: Military forces in Myanmar are carrying out operations on anti-Indian rebel groups operating from Myanmar.
“We have received the input that Myanmar’s forces took action against anti-Indian rebel groups, which have established camps in Myanmar,” said sources in the Indian government to Ani.
The establishment of Indian security has been related to the military government in Myanmar, who recently handed over five anti-Indian militants to Indian institutions, the sources said, added that they were taken to India on a special plane.
Some rebel clothing, such as the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and Kangla Yawol Kanna Lup, from the Northeast India operated from Myanmar until their camp was dismantled in operation almost three years ago.
But they were revived and reunited over the past few months.
Last year in November, six personnel including Rifles Assam Commanding Officer (CO), were killed in a terrorist attack in Manipur.
Colonel Viplav Tripathy, RO 46 Assam Rifles, his wife, their eight-year-old son and four soldiers were ambushed and killed near the Indian-Myanmar border in Manipur on November 13.
Four other soldiers suffered an injury conducted in the Churachandpur district.
“Indian bodies are also related to Myanmar forces because they took action against groups such as PLA terrorist groups, who were involved in the murder of an Assam rifle colonel and his family some time ago,” said the sources.
Details about victims caused by rebel groups in Myanmar’s actions are still awaited.
India, in 2015, has carried out surgical attacks on anti-Indian rebel groups involved in ambush against the Dogra regimen battalion where around 20 soldiers lost their lives.
