BENGALURU: Officials in e-commerce company Myntra have declared that products in 556 imports value Rs 24 lakh had gone lost.
The prices comprising items returned with clients are believed to have gone lost between February 1 and May 24.
It came to light through a recent internal inspection.
Myntra’s representative Srihari registered a complaint with Marathahalli authorities on Saturday from the defendant, Manjunath, that had been responsible for returning the imports in the cancelled orders into Myntra.
According to authorities, Instakart Service Pvt Ltd, a construction company who’d deployed Manjunath on SGR Dental College Road course in Munnekolala region to collect imports from cancelled orders also he was likely to return them into the Myntra office.
Investigation revealed that the defendant opened the prices, took the merchandise and substituted them with used stones or goods to make sure that there was no difference in fat.
Following repacking the imports, then he returned to the organization.
Police have registered a case under IPC Sections 381 (theft by slave ) and 408 (criminal breach of faith from slave ) from Manjunath, who’s absconding Authorities said new shoes at the bundles were replaced with ones that were used.
“We’ve requested the complainant to provide the audit file, containing the particulars of goods packaged and items from the returned imports,” an officer said.
