MyS-B’luru Expressway will be completed on September 2022: Simeha

MySuru: MP Pratap Sime said that Mysuru-Bengaluru Epressway, which was being upgraded to the 10 lane highway, will be completed in September 2022.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Sime said that the highway that connects the trip of two cities will reduce travel time from three hours up to only 90 minutes.
Updating the 117 km highway is divided into two components.
Construction 56 km from Jalan from Bengaluru to Nidagatta was the first, and from Nidagatta to Mysuru the second.
Construction work began between May-December 2019.
“The job is likely to be completed in September 2022.
The work has been carried out through funds provided by the central government.
Bypass road construction of 60 km has been completed.
At the end of January 2022, the remaining work will be finished, “He said.
Simeha said that the highway had been upgraded to ensure better connectivity between Bengaluru and Mysuru.
“This project began to connect Mysuru to Bengaluru, which passed Ramanagar and Mandya.
This is a project initiated by the Government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but MPS from Ramanagar and Mandya tried to claim credit for it,” he said.
Reacting to the latest Manda MP Sumalata comments about the construction of the Express corridor, Simeha said that he had expressed doubts about the work done scientifically.
“We clarify whether the work is done scientifically or not.
If Mandya MP has doubts about work, then he can be examined by experts,” he said.
’93km stretch of NH-275 developed’ Simeha said that NHAI had taken the progress of Mysuru’s expanse of 93 km to the Kushalanagar section of the NH-275.
Three bypass has been proposed, has a total length of 84 km, which includes bypass in Kushalanagar, Periyapatna, Hunsur City, Bicery and Mysore City.
“The time of traveling from Bengaluru to Madikeri is 7 hours, which will be minimized for up to 3.5 hours because of this project.
It costs Rs 3,883 Crore, and the work will begin from June 2022,” he said.
Likewise, the Kerala border to the collely part of the NH-212, with a total length of 129 km, is being examined by the central government on project priorities, for the next financial year, to prepare detailed project reports (DPR).
“This project tends to cost around Rs 400 Crore,” he said.
