MySuru: Periyapatna Taluk, which has a difference to prevent most children’s marriages in Mysuru District, on Wednesday protecting a 16-year-old girl for marriage at an early age.
The 10girl class from the Hassan district was saved after he shared a trial with one of his friends during a recent visit to Mysuru.

Periyapapana Child Development Project Officer, N Kumar, said they advised the girl after she approached them through an organization.
According to the girl, he lost his father a few years ago and his mother allegedly forced him to get married earlier.
His parents did a strange job to make a living.
The girl came to spend time at a friend’s house in a village in Periyapatna from the district.
His friend, in turn, is related to an organization.
Kumar said the girl was handed over to the Child Welfare Committee, the quasi-judicial body, who would decide on the next action.
His mother and relatives will be summoned before the committee to warn them if there is such an effort by them.
The officer said that the government would take care of him and help him in the study if he wanted to continue his education.
