MySuru: Commissioner MySuru City Corporation (MCC) G Lakshmikantha Reddy on Tuesday said biometric attendance facilities will be introduced to PourakaKikas from September.
Speaking at the MCC board meeting, Reddy said Pouracumikasi must mandate mark their presence twice a day (in and out) on biometric devices.
“The size will streamline the presence of employees.
There is a lack of pouracumikas in several wards.
In some places, Pouracumikas itself drives a garbage vehicle and also works as a sanitation supervisor.
To fix the problem, we plan to hire the driver and appoint a supervisor for every ward,” he said.
Reacting to the complaints of board members regarding the shortage of garbage transport vehicles, Reddy said that the corporation had seven compenders while two had been employed from private contractors.
“14 other vehicles will be purchased in the coming days.
Similarly, 120 autos items will be purchased in three to four months.
At present we have 65 autos to collect waste from households and 20 cars for the collection and disposal of waste to landfills, “He said.
Meanwhile, the meeting turned a storm as a corporator JD (s) accusing PM Narendra Modi playing to the gallery when he washing the feet of civil workers.
