MySuru: Following public anger and criticism of political leaders, including the former Minister of Sidaramaiiah and the Party of Pratap Sime Party Party, the MySuru Regency Government has temporarily suspended the demolition of religious structures built in public places illegally.
The source said the authorities had directed staff to “slow down on problems” and did not discuss it publicly.
The development took place on the day when Simea said the Chairman of the Bukavaraj Minister Bommai had convinced him driving the demolition of the temple would be suspended throughout the state.
Simeha added that there was an urgent need to encode all temples to save them from such a demolition drive in the future.
“CM has promised orders to be issued in this case in addition to reviewing the temples identified for demolition throughout the country,” he said.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Sungade members held a protest in front of 101 Ganapathi temple in the city against the Demolition Drive.
The villagers to hold protests, the residents of the village of Uchchagani have decided to protest in Mysuru on September 16 against the demolition of Mahadevamma Temple.
Simea said she had urged CM to start the action against the Nanjian government of Taluk because she destroyed it.
“I am not against the razing of any structure for development work such as highways.
But the old and sacred structures must be protected,” he said.
