Mysuru: A young customer from a jewelry shop in South Mysuru was shot dead at close range with armed gangs who tried to rob a shop on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Chandru, which was in the middle of the 20s, and Mysuru Taluk resident, according to the police source.
Gang three-four armed robbers entered the Amruth Gold and Silver Palace at Vidyaranyapuru around 6pm and tried to loot shops.
They threatened the shop owner with weapons and also opened it.
Chandru, who went to the store, was shot dead by a gang before they escaped.
An officer said the gang spoke in Urdu while stopping at a jewelry shop.
Senior police officers rushed to the place.
