MySuru: Lack of construction industry hits

MySuru: The city is hit by the scarcity of construction materials and affects the real estate sector that has been shaken under the crisis because of a pandemic.
As a result, prices have surged too, encouraging a family budget that plans to build a house.
The drawback has triggered a surge in prices and has affected several government projects too.
Construction materials such as M-Sand and gravel are supplied to the city of Srirangapatna, Pandavapura and Nagamangala in the Mandya District.
The mine in the Mandya district supply around 6,000 to 7,000 tons of M -sand and 2,000 tons of gravel to the city of Mysu, while the mine in Gundlupet and Huliyurdurga were able to supply around 2,000 tons of M-Sand against and 500 tons of gravel.

He said the house construction sector was exposed to price increases.
Because of the unavailability of river sand, both the construction industry, private builders and home builders have used M-Sand as an alternative.
The mine in Mandya is the main source of M-Sand and gravel for the construction industry in Mandya, Mysore and Madikeri, said Malikarjuna, which is a mining operator.
The demand for the construction materials doubled after the government calmed down the norms and opened economic activities, he stated that he added that the decision to shutdown while the mine operator from the Mandya district had greatly affected the construction industry.
